BotFinder is designed to be browsable without an account. This page states exactly what changes when you create one.

What we collect, and why

• Account — email address, display name and avatar, provided through your sign-in provider. Used to give you an account and to attach your watchlist and comparisons to it. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
• Product data — the strategies you watch and compare. This is the service itself; without it there is nothing to show you.
• Billing — plan, subscription status and renewal date. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never reach our servers. Legal basis: contract and accounting obligations.
• Audience measurement — page views and technical data, only after you explicitly agree, and revocable at any time. Legal basis: consent.
• Technical logs — errors and security events, kept to operate the service. Legal basis: legitimate interest.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your trading account credentials, your positions, your balances or your card number. We never ask for them, and no part of the product has a place to put them.

Processors

The service relies on the following providers, each acting on our instructions:

• Clerk — authentication, account management and the launch waitlist (your e-mail address, kept until you are invited or ask for its deletion).
• Stripe — payments, invoices and subscription management.
• Google Analytics — audience measurement, subject to your consent.
• Sentry — technical error reporting. Configured to send no personal data.
• Hetzner Online GmbH — hosting of the application and its database, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Allemagne — serveurs en Allemagne.

Cookies and audience measurement

No analytics script is loaded before you agree — not loaded in a “denied” mode, not loaded at all. Declining is exactly as easy as accepting, in one click, and your choice is stored on your own device.

You can change your mind at any time using the control at the bottom-left of any page. Cookies strictly necessary to keep you signed in do not require consent.

Transfers outside the EU

Hosting and the database are located in Germany. Some processors (Clerk, Stripe, Google, Sentry) may process data outside the European Union, under the safeguards provided by their own contractual frameworks.

People named in the catalogue

The catalogue names the authors and sellers of the strategies it lists (name or public nickname, link to their public page). This information was not collected from them: it comes from the public pages where they publish their products (source shown on each listing). We process it on the basis of our legitimate interest in informing the public about commercially offered trading strategies, keep it while the listing is online, and never use it to contact them for marketing.

If you are named in the catalogue, you may object to this processing, or ask for a correction or for the listing to be removed, by writing to contact@botfinder.h2wi.fr or through the contact page. We answer within one month.

Retention

Account and product data are kept while your account exists, and deleted on request. Billing records are kept for ten years, as required by French accounting law. Audience measurement follows the retention configured in Google Analytics. Technical logs are kept for a rolling period of at most twelve months.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability by writing to contact@botfinder.h2wi.fr. You can withdraw your analytics consent yourself, without asking us.

If you are in the EU, you may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority — in France, the CNIL (cnil.fr).
